Hello. Am here again and as usual having the same problem. I've got locked task manager and found the rvhost.exe again in my messenger. I don't know what seems to be the problem this time and how I got infected. When I logged in at my yahoo messenger, it started to send random messages again on my group list. Hope you'll help me again. Thanks!

You can be infected very easily, surfing the wrong sites, using an infected Flash Drive and a lot other ways.

Did you have on this Pc Symantec and AVG8 Anti-Virus and uninstalled them?

• Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
• Click on the Save list... button.
• It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
• Notepad will open. Please copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.

The copy of USB Disk Security V5.0.0.85 doesn't appear to be legal. If you want to continue, you have to remove USB Disk Security V5.0.0.85.

After you remove it, run Rooter.exe again and post back the report and a new Programs list, so we can proceed and clean your pc.

My friend install this on my laptop...but thanks for letting me know.

Did you uninstall USB Disk Security V5.0.0.85? It still shows.

Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to and find the following folder and remove it.

Hello kkarizz,

Please sign out Yahoo Messenger before following my instructions below. Turn it on, only after the tool reboots the pc and creates the report. So if you have Yahoo Messenger settings to start with the pc, please set it not to automatically start and sign in.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
• Choose your usual account.
• Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
• Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
• It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
• Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
  (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
• Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log.

Good Day, I know am not supposed to reply here without the needed log report you're requesting but I would like to inform you that I can't perform yet what is needed for my laptop. It won't charge and I brought it to the computer center to have it fixed. But as soon as I will get it tomorrow, I will perform your next instruction. I'm here just to inform that my battery is not working at the moment. I don't wanna lose this thread so I thought of informing you beforehand this thread will expire.
