Should I re-enable Windows Defender.
Yes, I will give instructions for that later after your computer is clean.
What settings do you recommend for etither/both?
Both should be enabled in order to protect your computer. However, Windows Defender can be disabled temporarily as it interfering with the fixes. Once your computer is clean, it can be re-enabled back.
Both needs to keep up-to-date. Windows Defender updates are delivered through Windows Updates, so it should have no problems keeping updated.
As you're using McAfee Enterprise, I can't tell how to keep it updated. Your IT department will know if they're responsible for keeping it up-to-date, or you may have to log on to your company's network to find out on how to update it.
