Firefox Security Update 2.0.0.7

19 September, 2007 | Security, Updates | By: Nellie2

Mozilla released a security update for Firefox yesterday, MFSA 2007-28.

It fixes a security flaw caused by Apple’s Quick Time Media Player that can be used to install software or steal data from a Windows computer if the user happens to view a rogue Quick Time movie or image.

Firefox should update automatically, but my Firefox browser hasn’t offered me the update yet. So to manually update your browser just go to Help > Check for Updates.

After updating to this revision I can no longer view PDF files in my firefox browser. I have no fix for this.

I don’t have a problem with pdf’s. I use Foxit as my default PDF reader and the Firefox PDF download plugin

I don’t have the Foxit PDF plugin installed though, so all my pdf files open outside of the browser.
