is it possible to reset windows to its default settings so that the option to clear recent documents can appear again?

I think there must be somethin wrong that lead to it being disabled right?

the panda scan thing can't work..it stopped at 50 percent for quite some time.. and also, the website u provide doesn't work. I think u misunderstood my question.

the trend micro scan has found one malware. it is called JAVA_BYTEVER.R but it has been cleaned.

So for my situation, the Clear Documents problem doesn't mean that the virus isn't clean from my computer right? Is just that some registry is being disabled right?
So on the whole, it's no big deal??
Can I just leave it as the way it is now?
