I recommend that you use System Restore to a date prior to this problem starting.
1. Click Start, and then click Help and Support.
2. Under Pick a Task, click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.
3. You will see a calender, pick the date that you installed youtube vid downloader
4. Click Next
See here for more information on System Restore

ok ill try but it might take a few days... i got some work from school and it will take some time to get past it all. i will get the cd from my dad when ever i get the chance. i will let you know how it goes
atomix
hmm... i tried to reinstall the linksys wireless-b but it still doest work...
should i wipe my comp clean or do we still have more options?
Katana
Since you only have 707 MB of free space, a wipe of the drive may not be a bad idea anyway.
There are other options, but they may take longer and at this point we don't know what the problem actually is.
The choice is yours.

I guess the best thing to do might be to wipe it clean. I will take about a week to sort through all of my files and pick out the ones i really need to keep store them in my D drive then wipe the C drive. I hope this will work. I will reply when I'm done and tell you if it worked or not. I also have a few more questions I would like to ask once the internet works. Bye till next next week.

My dad messed aorund with some stuff and the internet works now!!!

Not really the computer seems to be running fine.
I do have a few questions though.
My sound and graphics cards are bad apparently... Is there anything I can download to update them?
I have heard of an SP3 i have SP2 should I update if so how?
Other then that I think thats it...
Katana
It depends what you mean by "My sound and graphics cards are bad apparently".
You can check if there are driver updates for them, but you are better off on a tech forum for that rather than here.
You should update to SP3 as soon as possible, but mack sure you back up all your data and disable any security programs before starting.

Why do i need to back up my data to update to SP3?
How can i check if there are driver updates for them?
