Desktop background turned green and can't be changed

When I was online McAfee detected a trojan and said the file was quarantined. After the message from McAfee popped up, my desktop background turned all green. I had McAfee so a full scan and 2 files were detected and removed but my background stayed all green. When I went to the desktop properties to try and turn the background back to the way it was, I couldn't select any backgrounds and there was a new selection with an Microsoft IE icon called "Warning" in the list.
