Having virus issue but scanner finds nothing

Sounds like a good plan.
It's possible AVG may be detecting something wrong with an Emsisoft file signature as well.

As of 4.21pm I have un-installed Java (both of them) and Emsisoft Anti-Malware and installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware instead. Kept AVG for now and shall see how this goes.

I have notices my Spamfighter has been removed, is this ok to re-install? The spamfighter I use is this one http://www.spamfighter.com/ do you know of a better one for free for Outlook? Also while on this topic some years ago we used to have software called SPyware Guard and SPyware Blaster, are they still around and worth installing or is there more up to date equivalent?

Spyware Guard and spyware blaster have past their most useful period.
Their methods don't work as well as before, and they are not as useful.
If you have a good antivirus and MBAM you are well off now.
The best filter for Outlook is the one that comes with it, but is not enabled.

OK thanks shall read up on that about Outlook junk mail filter. Happy to say since ever removing Emsisoft Anto-Malware, not has any viruses warnings as yet, touch wood.

Avoiding Unwanted Adware
There are a few seriously important tips to avoid unwanted adware.
Adware purveyors are getting more devious and unethical, so you have to be more diligent.

• Don't click on the Sidebars of Websites
  The items on the sides of websites may be enticing, but they are all advertising, and one click could download unwanted adware onto your machine.
  
  
• Never agree to download anything, if prompted to do so while Online.
  that goes for, "Your codec/browser/flash... needs to be updated to do this, blah, blah.."
  or "you need to first download the xyz.. program to do what you want".
  It's OK to download updates if prompted by legitimate suppliers, when the machine boots, while not yet online.
  
  
• Don't download anything from sites known for adware bundling.
  For any online downloads, best avoid using CNET, Download.com, BrotherSoft, or Softonic
  They package their own "downloaders" and, without notice, deliver serious adware in addition to the desired free programs.
  Unfortunately, the results may be disastrous for your machine.
  FileHippo, MajorGeeks and Softpedia have been better, so far, as sources for downloading software.
  The website of any program's original author is best of all.
  You can Google any Freeware program by typing <program name> adware to see what comes up.
  
  
• Avoid Using P2P file sharing programs
  This includes µTorrent, Bearshare, BitComet, Bittorrent, Azureus, Frostwire, Vuze, Shareaza, Bitlord.
  The Unethical have "planted" thousands upon thousands of infections and Adware items in the shared torrent files.

Many thanks for your help I am now no longer getting any more viruses notices like I used to get and it seems like Emsisoft was the caused of it all. Many thnaks for your help and thanks for the tips above.

We can now safely says my systems is clean.
