12 min read

This thread's last reply is from July 4, 2006, 6:46 PM UTC. Software, malware, and removal-tool advice below may be out of date — treat specific steps and download links with caution.

I have run several antivirus programs and Adaware. Can someone help?

Welcome to the MalwareRemoval forums. I am random/random and will be helping you with your malware issues

As I am an undergraduate all my posts will be checked by an expert, and this may cause a slight delay

I would ask that you continue to respond to this thread until I give you the All Clean
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
  • You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
  • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Vundofix.exe will not reopen as a task. Should i run it regular. I have tried several times and waited. The program never reopens. What next?
Please rename Hijackthis.exe to spyware.exe and post a new hijackthis log
