Because my son clicked a link in an instant message, we are now the "proudly infected" computer owners of what appears to be Backdoor.Hacdef.FV.

BitDefender found the above but, it doesn't appear to have removed the whole thing.

All McAfee can do is tell us something is suspicious.

Searches finally led to your sight where you have, at least referenced it.

The million dollar question is: how do I get rid of it.

Whatever anyone can share, on how to get rid of this, will be GREATLY appreciated!!!
