Your log looks clean to me. Do you have any specific problems?

Not huge, just something that doesnt feel right.
1. It is forcing me to allow svchost.exe have access to the web, through the firewall, or I cannot connect with either IE or Firefox.

2. Every morning, if I try to connect to the web, it will not connect thru either browser without rebooting. When it tries, the status icon from ZA shows high activity outgoing but low incoming, and then the page saying it cannot find the homepage...

Also, I have scanned with a couple of rootkit scanners and they find nothing, but I am still not convinced...

Yes, it's Windows process and you need to allow it. There are processes with same name or similar names (like scvhost.exe which is bad). You need to check careful it's path. Legal one is in Windows\System32 folder. In this case I'm 99% sure it's the legal one asking for outgoing connection.

I believe your second problem depends also on this same thing. Outgoing activity is high 'cos process tries to get connection out and low incoming activity 'cos it can't reach other part in outer network. Hopefully you understood what I tried to explain.

Yes, I understand what you are saying...
The "no connection" problem though is fairly new. That has me concerned.
I will do a little more observation of the machine and see if I can see a pattern.
