Hello!
I was here once for a friend, and never thought I would have to come back for myself!
Anyway, I came home, and saw that my entire computer was very much infected. i have a feeling a family member did it when i was at work.
I ran CCleaner, spybot s&d, ad-aware, and mcaffee, but still have problems. Also, all my system restore files from before the incident have apparently been deleted, rendering it pretty much useless to me.

EDIT: I just ran some more cleaners, and got rid of most of the problems. however, there are some that are lingering. i replaced the old log with the newer version.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Surprisingly, no Vundo was found. I think my McAfee might have killed it in the middle of the night.
I didnt get a Vundofix.txt file, but here is an updated Hijack This file.

Vundo's still there

  • Open a new notepad window
  • Paste the list of files from the quote box below into the notepad window.
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\rqrrppo.dll
  • Save this as vundofix.vft and Save as type "all files".
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Drag vundofix.vft onto the listbox (white box) of VundoFix.
  • Click the "Remove Vundo" button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting

Please download show-vundo.vbs to your desktop
  • Double-click show-vundo.vbs to run it.
  • When completed, it will open a notepad window
  • Copy and paste the contents of that window as a reply to this topic
