Hi stumpgrinder

Can you give more details about those ads?

Do they happen also when browser is closed and with other browser than IE as well?
All kinds of different ads windows open. It's when IE is running.
I've run several spyware removal programs but it hasn't fixed the problem, although it does seem like it's not as bad. Computer is also a bit on the slow side, although it's improved a little after running a registry fix program.
I was hoping someone would notice something out of the norm on the hijackthis post and I could clean it up. I'm not all that tech knowledgable, so I've done all I can at this point.
Thanks for looking!
Hi

Let's then do some further research:

Download F-Secure Blacklight and save it to your desktop -> ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/fsbl.exe

Doubleclick fsbl.exe, accept the agreement, click Scan, then click Next

You'll see a list what have been found. A log will appear to your desktop, it is named fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (xxxxxxx will be random numbers).

DON'T choose Rename if something was found!

Post the contents of fsbl.xxxx.log to here (xxxx= random numbers, blacklight log from your desktop)
