This thread's last reply is from December 4, 2008, 11:13 PM UTC. Software, malware, and removal-tool advice below may be out of date — treat specific steps and download links with caution.

I get a RUNDLL error message telling me that the file M3PLUGIN.DLL is missing from its location in C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\1.bin on system startup. I am not a power user or IT professional. HIJACKTHIS downloaded and run, log file uploaded to TrendSecure. Now what?
In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. A HijackThis log, as well as other logs that may be requested, provide us with a guideline for removing whatever malware is infecting your system. We cannot proceed without such logs for guidance.

Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log. If you are unable to create and post a HijackThis log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.
