Hi all concerned,
I am windows vista home premium sp1 user. I updated NOKIA PC SUITE, after update completion windows restarted. Most of the computer services on startup never loaded (local services + network services)- I am able to access internet through booting with safe mode and networking option however everytime I try to uninstall NOKIA PC SUITE or any other program from safe mode I am notified that the Windows Installer service could not be started. When I try to lauch windows live onecare manually because it's not launching on startup, I am notified that Windows live OneCare service is not working or has been stopped. When I try to start a System Service manually I am notified as Access denied.

What could I do ?
This does not sound like a malware issue, it sounds like a troubleshooting issue. As we only do malware removal at this site, I recommend that you go to a site that does do troubleshooting, such as What the Tech at:

http://forums.whatthetech.com/forums.html

I would caution you not to access the internet using safe mode with networking. Your anti-virus does not start up in safe mode, so your system is entirely unprotected. You should utilize another computer to access the internet.

If you have not yet tried, I suggest you reboot your system and tap the F8 key to access the Advanced Options Menu. From the Advanced Options Menu, select "Last Known Good Configuration." If that does not resolve the problem, then reboot into safe mode and access System Restore and restore your system to a point prior to the mishap.

If neither of those suggestions resolve your problem, then go to What the Tech, or another site that provides general troubleshooting help, and seek advice there. If you do not have the availability of another computer, then I would advise you to back up your data and then take your system to a trusted local shop and have them fix it for you.

As this issue does not involve malware and therefore falls outside the scope of this forum, this topic is now closed.
