unable to run hjt or any other malware software

i don't know if you guys will be able to help me or not as I can not run hijack this or most other software at this point

yesterday my pc was hit with the security system virus and all hell has broken loose!

through a lot of forum and internet browsing i was able to get into safe mode with networking and find the files that are associated with this virus and remove them... after rebooting all seemed fine, but I decided i'd download stopzilla (which the site i was reading recommended)... after i found out about the charge, i decided to download malwarebyte and use that as it seemed to be the hot ticket... unfortunately i was redirected to something called malwarebot.... and didn't catch this till after i downloaded and installed it... i don't believe it caused further damage, but i realized i was not rid of this virus yet

since then it has gotten worse... i was able to download and install super anti spyware, but if i try to run the program it won't allow me, not even in safe mode with networking

i placed a copy of malwarebyte on a cd and renamed the .exe file and tried to run it to no avail

i've tried changing the combatability to windows 2000 and run it as i've read that works and still nothing

i finally downloaded avira recovery cd and tried it and it found some files, but was not able to remove any of them

i am at the point where i can not do anything on my pc to fix it... if i search malwarebyte in google the browser closes... if i try to get to any site that can potentially help me by providing me software the browser closes

i'm at the point i believe reformatting is the only choice, i know if i could provide a hjt it would help, but as stated the browser closes if i try to download it

We understand that you are having difficulty running certain programs, including HijackThis. However, in order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log, and it is possible you may be able to trick the malware into letting you do this. First, download HijackThis to a clean computer, then rename it from HijackThis.exe to any other name you want, using an .exe extension, for example... YourLastName.exe. Once you have done that, burn it to a CD (preferable to using a flash drive that may easily become infected) then transfer the renamed file to the infected computer and run a scan, then start a new topic and include your HijackThis log.

Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log. If you are unable to create and post a HijackThis log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.
