BSOD 0x0000008e and others

i have been having a multitude of problems, and several different virus scanners have been ineffective. Along with the BSOD in the subject line, i also receive a CTaud2k.sys BSOD, which led me to remove my sound card completely. this however did not fix the problem. Please advise.
