Help to remove trojan Startup.Nameshifter & ABetterInter

Hi

I've got the un-enviable task of helping sort out a friends PC that has got loaded up with adware/viruses etc. I think I've got rid of most things, but am really struggling to get rid of the following things (as reported by MS AntiSpyware):

Trojan.Startup.NameShifter.BK
Transponder.ABetterInternet.DrPMon
Transponder.ABetterInternet.Aurora
C:\Windows\autoclk.exe
msnames.ocx + various registry entries.

My HijackThis log is below. If anyone can give me some help, it would be most gratefully appreciated.

Im sorry you didn't recieve a reply to your thread.. we seemed to have been a little busy.

Would you like to post a final log for a check? There are a couple of entries in that last log that worry me. Also could you let me know what you have done so far?

No worries. I understand you seem busy from all the postings.

Unfortunately I've given the machine back to my neigbour now so can't get another Hijack This log. However, in terms of what I did...

I followed the instructions that are in the link 2 posts up.

Then I ran Ewido which reported some problems, and I got it to clean them up with the exception of one (BT Openworld Dialler as I think that was supposed to be there). Running Ewido again showed no new or other probs.

Then I ran AdAware (reported a couple of low severity cookies), Ewido again, Trend anti spyware, trend anti virus, Norton anti-virus, Microsoft AntiSpyware. All reported nothing of note apart from MS AntiSpyware which reported an exe file that I found reports elsewhere of it doing a false positive on (something to do with a usb broadband modem which my neighbour does have), so I left that.

Then I upgraded to Win XP Service Pack 2, applied critical updates and installed Zone Alarm firewall.

So - in short, I think it was all ok. My neighbour has teenage daughters who seem intent on clicking on everything they see in MSN (smileys, toolbars etc). So I expect even if it wasn't totally 100% clean, I'll be seeing the computer again in 6 months time!

In the mean time - keep up the good work. If it wasn't for people like you we'd all be in a lot of trouble.
