Can't run HJT Web searches Hijacked

I am having an issue on my daughter's computer. Websearches run but when you click on links you are redirected to other sites. Asklots.com seems to be a main one.
Ad aware runs but doesn't help. Spybot will not run, Hijack this will not run. Doesn't matter if I am in safe mode or not. I get a message that I do not have permission to run them.
Computer is running Vista home edition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Vista Advice:

All applications I ask to be used will require to be run in Administrator mode. IE: Right click on and select Run as Administrator.

The Operating System(Vista aka Windows 6) in use comes with a inbuilt utility called User Access Control(UAC) when prompted by this with anything I ask you to do carry out please select the option Allow.

Download and Run: RSIT

• Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
• Right click on RSIT.exe, click "Run as Administrator" to run RSIT.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here.

• Right click the .exe file and click "Run as Administrator". If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent
• If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO

• In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following ...
  • Sections
  • IAT/EAT
  • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
  • Show All (don't miss this one)
• Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish
• Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" or it will save as a .log file
• Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop, and post it in reply

**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries
Note: Do not run any programs while Gmer is running.

Please post both RSIT logs and the GMER log on your next reply.
