Help! Computer will only start in safe mode!!

This computer has been acting weird for a couple weeks...the screen resolution would change on it's own and it's performance has seemed to slow. When we tried to turn it on today, we got a blue screen that said something about windows had to shut the computer down to avoid damage. Now it won't even start except for in safe mode. I tried running system restore but it always comes back with the message it can't finish. I've tried 3 different restore points. I've tried running the windows startup repair 3 times but that's not working. Please help! This is our work computer. Thanks for looking.
