Spyware Soft Malware on my computer :(

I had some malware on my computer earlier today called "spyware soft". It wouldn't let me open hijackthis or download anything to remove it so I did a system restore on my computer in safe mode. It appears to be gone but this happened to me a couple of months ago, where I did a system restore but the malware came back anyways. My computer is still running kind of slow so I'm worried that this malware is still clinging to life in my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Remove P2P programs
IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

We see no purpose in cleaning your machine if you use P2P programs, as it is pretty much certain that if you continue to use them then you will get infected again.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red) NOW.

Download/Run RSIT

• Please download RSIT by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
• Double-click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open.
• Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Note: both logs can be found in the C:\rsit folder if you lose them.

• Download CKScanner by askey127 from Here.
• Important - Save it to your desktop.
• Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
• After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
• A message box will verify the file saved.
• Please copy/paste CKFiles.txt located on desktop and both RSIT logs (log.txt and info.txt) in your next reply.

I had some malware on my computer earlier today called "spyware soft".
It wouldn't let me open hijackthis or download anything to remove it so I did a system restore on my computer in safe mode. It appears to be gone but this happened to me a couple of months ago, where I did a system restore but the malware came back anyways. My computer is still running kind of slow so I'm worried that this malware is still clinging to life in my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We will check and flush/clear the restore points when the pc looks clean. In the mean time don't do anything with the restore points incase I need to see what kind of malware is hiding in there.


No Anti-Virus
Looking over your log, it seems you don't have any evidence of an anti-virus software.
Anti-virus software are programs that detect, cleanse, and erase harmful virus files on a computer, Web server, or network. Unchecked, virus files can unintentionally be forwarded to others, including trading partners and thereby spreading infection. Because new viruses regularly emerge, anti-virus software should be updated frequently. Anti-virus software can scan the computer memory and disk drives for malicious code. They can alert the user if a virus is present, and will clean, delete (or quarantine) infected files or directories.

Please download and install a free anti-virus software from one these excellent vendors:

1) Avira Antivir Personal - Free anti-virus software for Windows. Free support.
2) avast! Home Edition - Anti-virus program for Windows. The home edition is freeware for noncommercial users.

You should run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory uses additional resources and results in program conflicts and false virus alerts.

I tried to run the GMER scan like you said and it started to scan but like a minute into it the whole screen turns blue and it says "A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer." It also says that "the problem seems to be caused by the following file: pfnoyfod.sys" I tried it twice but I get this message each time.

Please download DeFogger to your desktop.

Double click DeFogger to run the tool.

• The application window will appear
• Click the Disable button to disable your CD Emulation drivers
• Click Yes to continue
• A 'Finished!' message will appear
• Click OK
• DeFogger will now ask to reboot the machine - click OK

IMPORTANT! If you receive an error message while running DeFogger, please post the log defogger_disable which will appear on your desktop.

Do not re-enable these drivers until otherwise instructed.

Yea I got the same blue screen message. I did download one of the anti-virus programs you recommended, sorry was I not supposed to do that? is that what you meant by don't do anything with the restore points? sry

Then try running the Gmer scan again in safe mode and post back the log: (The random Gmer file should still be on the desktop, skip the download part)

GMER ran for a while and then it just said "GMER has not found any system modification"

Did you click on the save button after the scan was finished and save the log?

Can you please run Gmer again in either Normal or Safe Mode and save the logfile then post it back here.

Sry its taken me so long to respond but my internet has been down for 2 days off and on. GMER was completely blank there was nothing to post.
