Desktop Theme Virus

When I turned my pc on this morning a different background (flames) appeared. When I checked the desktop folder it had windows xp (modified) themes selected. I changed it back to the normal original windows xp theme. But if I right click on parts of the desktop and properties in some places I get windows xp(modified) and others just the windows xp. So it seems like there are two screens running maybe, I tried making the correct screen smaller to see if I could see behind it and I can't see anything. I have AVG running, did a SCAN and nothing came up. I also checked in appearances that no web pages were ticked etc.

No. although I do use it to work from home from time to time but it isn't a business machine, I just want to know if there is anything nasty in that HT report
