advice below may be out of date — treat specific steps and download links with caution.
I nuked a virus with Avast boot time scan and it came back after I returned my friend's computer. Upon further research I've learned that Malwarebyes has more success with rootkits. So I have again removed the virus with Malwarebytes but to try and avoid egg on my face again I sure would appreciate one of you guys double checking behind me to ensure it's actually gone before I return it AGAIN!
Thanks in advance!
