Since I see that there are so many smart people on this forum, I want to ask you guys a question. Can anyone explain to me how this is possible?:

Ah, they look the same... but they are not.

If you take any point on the lower triangle's hypoteneuse it is slightly higher than the upper triangle's hypoteneuse. Not much but enough over the length to make one square difference.
