Google chrome wont install

I downloaded chromesetup.exe to my desktop, double clicked it, a black window appeared for a fraction of a second and disappeared. I waited but nothing happened. Idid it one more time with no different result. Can someone please tell me whats the problem? Hope its not off-topic.

[ Sorry....read the instructions carefully and clicked the downloads window thing and the installer appeared...Dont know why they have made it different from the regular procedure.]
