PC's using Google's search engine through known malicious proxy servers are being warned they may be infected. Interesting...

...the primary IP address that Google is watching out for -- 74.125.45.100 -- has been flagged by security firms such as BitDefender and TrendMicro as part of a Trojan that warns users to install fake antivirus software.

Some critics feel malware writers will use the Google warning graphic, as a ploy to get users to click on a link indicating a "How to rid themselves..." type topic. A tactic used by many rogue anti-malware products.

Oh dear! So they are hosting the proxy they are warning users about.
