I wonder if Piriform has stopped offering the Slim version.
It's not listed now.
It seems (in the past) to show up later, after the initial update offering. Check it in a few days, see if it shows up.

You can get it here Bob.

I have one slightly older than the newest.
MajorGeeks seems to offer a good selection of things.
Have they been OK at avoiding contamination of freeware downloads?

They seem to have just about anything you could want. Not sure but as far as i know they check each and every download Bob.
I got the latest version of CCleaner from FileHippo ... http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ ... and the copy I installed didn't seem to come with any junkware.
I had originally installed from a Piriform download. Thinking they may have a different download "manager" I tried again... no offer of any 3rd party software, this time.
Maybe they were testing... maybe they got complaints, maybe it was meant for some other download process, I don't know. :dontknow:
But I know it was there... because I was shocked to see it.

He walks away from his laptop, shaking his head... "I know I saw it! I'm not going crazy! I'm NOT!!! angry9: :banghead:
I've seen that kind of thing happen myself Mike, so don't worry, I'm sure you're not hallucinating.

Thanks, Mike.
I had a friend tell me yesterday that he DLd and installed the latest version of CCleaner a few days back, and he got foisted with Google Chrome, so it looks like you weren't the only one to come across it Mike.

I've told him to uninstall Chrome, and explained to him how to avoid foistware in future. However I've explained it to him before, so I'm not hopeful of him remembering it any better next time. ;) :D
I recently downloaded a program from CNET... it had an "Option" section during the install asking about this software or that software to be installed... each time I selected NO ... it downloaded and installed the AVG Search Toolbar anyway! I spent the morning today, removing all remnants of it with SystemLook and OTL... after uninstalling it within Programs and Features.

These installers are getting worse everyday... I used CNET against my better judgement... never again. :angryfire:
